Hailing from Bronx, New York Haddy Racks remembers when rap music had you standing by the radio waiting for your favorite jam to come back on. After releasing his Rackateering mixtape with DJ Kay Slay in January 2016, Racks celebrated the international release of his debut album Resumé in June via his Rack’d Up label in conjunction with ONErpm Distribution. Currently, Haddy Racks is celebrating his second full-length album New York Gritty which was released March 24, 2017, and working on his #Mixtagram visual mixtape projects.
There is no question that Haddy Racks is a fire starter with his metaphors, tight skills, and intense lyrics, giving fans of real Hip Hop the chance to honor, respect, love and appreciate the true New York sound once again. This is all evident with the Resumé album, which features appearances from Dave East, Ran Christian, Bugatti, Count Roll-Up, and more, with production from Buda and Grandz, Chopz165 and AListFame.
Racks’ stories continue to resonate on New York Gritty, which features hard-hitting appearances from the likes of Bitta Blood, Count RollUp, Shoota, Audemus M.Eye, B.Dot of EMA and Billy V. Adding to the layers, Racks also enlists Brian Angel from Day 26 to channel his romantic side in “Relationship Goals” produced by Ray Beats. Production is rounded out with powerful sounds from Vinny Idol, who produced the lead single “Throw Sut’n”, Buda and Grandz, Jaymz Tha DJ, The Flying Dutchman, SaL GuoD, Da MVPz and of course Chopz165 on the crazy “New York Gritty” remix.
Throughout both projects, listeners can anticipate an array of honest, memorable story-telling, as well as magnetic, infectious hooks.
As 2017 progresses, Haddy Racks will continue to create new projects and travel the country, spreading the classic spirit of New York along the way.
